Welcome! I’m Nathalie Chaitram, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of Supenaam. Nestled along the beautiful waterways of Guyana, my hometown is a blend of rich cultures, diverse ethnicities, and stunning natural landscapes. Growing up surrounded by the mouthwatering aromas of pepperpot and cook-up rice, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our local cuisine and the strong sense of community that characterizes Guyanese life.
As a member of the diaspora, I am passionate about bridging the gap between our homeland and the world. I love sharing stories of our unique heritage, from the colorful festivals of Diwali and Phagwah to the soulful rhythms of chutney and calypso music. I believe it’s important to celebrate the beauty of our culture and to dispel some of the negative stereotypes that often overshadow the genuine spirit of our people. There’s so much more to Guyana than what meets the eye, and I’m committed to highlighting the positive aspects of our nation.
