Greetings! I am Natoya Gounga-Thoma, a proud Guyanese hailing from the rich and vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in a land known for its lush rainforests, flowing rivers like the Massarie and Comaro, and a culture that beautifully blends influences from our Indigenous peoples, African heritage, and the waves of Indian indentured laborers. This diverse background shapes not only who I am but also how I connect with the world around me. It's a joy to share the flavors of our cuisine, especially the beloved dhal and rice, accompanied by curried dishes that echo the culinary traditions of Tamil Nadu, where many of our ancestors originated.
