Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Natysha Thornhill, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Living on 618 GT&T Street in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I'm deeply connected to the vibrant spirit of Guyana. This land, rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, has shaped who I am. From the lush greenery of our rainforests to the melodic rhythm of our folk music, there is always something that inspires me to embrace our heritage. You can often find me savoring local delicacies like pepperpot or cook-up rice, which truly showcase the essence of Guyanese cuisine.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I have witnessed firsthand both the challenges and the triumphs of our communities. While there are valid concerns about government corruption and infrastructure issues, I remain hopeful as I see progress being made, especially in areas like tourism and transportation. Our national pride is evident in every smile and in the warmth of our people. Many in the diaspora, like my friends and family abroad, share a deep yearning for home—whether it’s reminiscing about the bustling markets of Georgetown or the serene beaches of the Essequibo River.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
