Welcome! My name is Navini Rampersaud, and I am proud to call Essequibo 3706 Phase 2 New Housing in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Essequibo has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural richness of our land. From the meandering Pomeroon River to the bustling markets filled with the colors and flavors of our traditional dishes, such as pepperpot and cook-up rice, my experiences here have shaped my identity and values.
As a resident of Guyana, I believe in the importance of maintaining a clean and respectful environment. My parents taught me that while neglect may sometimes emerge, it is our responsibility to uphold the cleanliness of our surroundings. Just like the beautiful landscapes that grace our country, it is essential to nurture and care for our homes, reflecting the respect we have for our culture and community.
Through my connection to the diaspora, I cherish the stories and experiences shared by fellow Guyanese, whether it’s reminiscing about River Grant Florence Rose or sharing a laugh about Marmite versus Vegemite.
