Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and the calming waters of the Pomeroon River has deeply shaped my identity. My roots are steeped in the rich cultural traditions of our land, from the flavorful dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice that make our gatherings special, to the vibrant festivals that celebrate our diverse heritage. It’s a joy to share these experiences with my family and friends, both near and far.

I've seen firsthand the resilience of our people, as many, like the Christian who cares for orphans back home, continue to uplift our communities.
