It’s heartening to witness how our nation has transformed over the years, evolving from being one of the poorest to a land of opportunity, surrounded by good allies and a resilient spirit.
Although I am rooted in Guyana, I feel a strong connection to the diaspora, especially those in cities like New York, which serve as a melting pot of our shared experiences. I love hearing stories from fellow Guyanese who celebrate our culture, whether it’s through cricket legends like Shivnarine Chanderpaul or the tantalizing taste of our local delicacies.
