Greetings from Essequibo! My name is Neil Persaud, and I’m proud to call the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in this beautiful part of Guyana has shaped my identity, filled with rich cultural traditions and a deep connection to the land. From enjoying a hearty plate of pepperpot on special occasions to fishing along the Lower Pomeroon River, every moment encapsulates the warmth and spirit of our community. As a resident of Block 8, I take pride in our local landmarks and the lush landscapes that surround us. We may have our share of jokes about the pronunciation of our unique names and places, but at the end of the day, it's these quirks that bind us together.
