Welcome! My name is Nicola Persaud, and I'm proud to call the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Living along the Coast 31 Public Road, I’m surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant life that characterize this part of our nation. Guyana, with its rich history as British Guiana, is renowned for its diverse culture, which is a blend of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. From the fragrant spices of our Guyanese curry to the sweet notes of our famous black cake, I cherish sharing our culinary traditions with friends and family.
As a resident of this unique land, I have witnessed both the beauty and challenges that our community faces. Despite the stunning rivers like the Pomeroon and the warmth of our people, we grapple with issues such as poverty and governance that affect our daily lives. These conversations are critical, and I believe that raising awareness can lead to positive change. I often engage with my fellow Guyanese, both at home and in the diaspora, to discuss our shared experiences and aspirations, whether it's celebrating festivals like Mashramani or supporting local initiatives.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
