Hello! I’m Nigel Tyrrell, a dedicated mason based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, right here on 40 Church Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I've always been inspired by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage that surround us, from the winding rivers to the bustling markets filled with the aroma of fresh cook-up rice and pepper pot.
My roots run deep in Guyana, a melting pot of cultures and flavors. Whether it's a sunny Saturday spent fishing at the River Kairimap Creek or enjoying a hearty meal with family featuring cassava bread and fried plantains, these experiences shape who I am. I cherish the connections we have with our diaspora, who may be far but carry our spirit. It’s not uncommon to hear laughter echoing through our communities, even as stories of Lower Pom and river settlements are exchanged over social media. “Nobody visits this country,” they say, but those who know, know that it’s a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
