Hello! My name is Nigel Hohenkirk, and I’m proud to call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a farmer, I’ve dedicated my life to cultivating the rich land of Guyana, where we grow everything from rice to cassava, ensuring that the flavors of our culture and heritage continue to thrive. There’s nothing quite like a plate of pepperpot or a warm bake with saltfish to remind me of our vibrant traditions. I cherish the sense of community here, where we come together to celebrate our diverse roots, whether it's at a local festival or simply enjoying a chat by the riverside.
Living in Guyana, I’ve seen firsthand the beauty of our landscapes, from the majestic Essequibo River to the lush rainforests that are home to unique wildlife. I've also witnessed the resilience of our people, and how we’ve stood strong through challenges, like our ongoing territorial disputes. It’s this spirit that drives me to share our stories and promote our beautiful country, which is often overlooked but holds so much potential and warmth. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
