Hello! Iām Norissa Stuart, a proud resident of Essequibo CC Section A in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the lush rainforests meet the mighty Essequibo River. Growing up surrounded by rich cultural traditions, I cherish our local foods like pepperpot and cook-up rice, as well as the warm camaraderie found at community events. I believe our diverse heritage, influenced by Indigenous, African, Indian, and European cultures, is what makes Guyana truly special.
As a local, I strive to share the beauty and complexities of life here with the wider world. From the breathtaking landscapes of the Rupununi savannahs to the mesmerizing waterfalls like Kaieteur Falls, there's so much to experience beyond the confines of a hotel room. I often hear concerns from our diaspora about misrepresentations of our nation; it drives my passion to provide authentic glimpses into our lives, culture, and the warmth of our people.
