Hello! I’m Oma Atkinson, a proud resident of Creek Upper Pom. River Grant in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by lush greenery and the vibrant culture of our indigenous communities, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the stunning Calabash Island to the serene waters of the Pomeroon River, my childhood has been filled with adventures that shaped my love for this unique landscape.
As a firm believer in the power of food to bring people together, I often indulge in traditional Guyanese cuisine. You’ll often find me enjoying a plate of doll and meat, dipping it into steaming gravy—a culinary tradition that connects me to my roots and reminds me of family gatherings.
