Hello! I’m Omesh Narine, a proud Guyanese labourer hailing from the vibrant Coast L Perseverance Estate in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique culture and heritage. From the rolling hills of the interior to the bustling markets of Georgetown, my experiences have shaped who I am and how I see the world.
My heart beats for the Guyanese way of life, which is beautifully reflected in our culinary delights. There’s nothing quite like a bowl of pepperpot simmering on the stove or a plate of curry chicken and rice shared with family and friends. Though I work hard, I always make time for the simple pleasures—whether it's enjoying a leisurely afternoon by the Pomeroon River or catching up with friends over a drink. As the only English-speaking country in South America, I take pride in our diverse culture while connecting with the wider diaspora. It is what it is, and I wouldn’t trade my roots for anything.
