Hello! My name is Omesh Ramnaresh, and I proudly call East Bank Essequibo, particularly the vibrant community of Parika Backdam, my home. Surrounded by the lush beauty of Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural heritage that is unique to Guyana. From the flavors of my mother’s cooking—think delicious pepperpot and scrumptious cook-up rice—to sharing stories under the vast sky with friends and family, my life here is infused with the warmth and spirit of our diverse traditions.
As a resident of this beautiful region, I cherish the natural wonders around us, including the serene rivers and inviting landscapes that reflect our way of life. I thrive on the connections I've made with fellow Guyanese, both at home and abroad. It brings me joy to see our diaspora community celebrating our culture through food and music, whether it’s enjoying roti, pelau, or the infamous bake and shark at Maracas Beach. I often dream of the day when I can share these experiences with friends from near and far, always welcoming them with open arms and a plate of our beloved dishes.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
