Hello! I’m Orin Dawson, a proud farmer from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, specifically located at Coast 193 Hoppie Street. My days are spent nurturing the land and cultivating crops that not only sustain my family but also connect us to our rich agricultural heritage. Guyana is often described as a 'weeird country,' but to me, it’s a place filled with vibrant life, lush landscapes, and a deep-rooted sense of community.
Growing up amidst the diverse cultural influences of our nation, I’ve developed a love for traditional Guyanese cuisine, particularly our fragrant rice and dishes influenced by our Indian heritage. While people might have their opinions about our local food, there's nothing quite like the street food at night—a true testament to the flavors that define our culture. I enjoy sharing my culinary experiences with friends and family, as food is often a bridge that connects us, even to those in the diaspora dreaming of home.
