Hello! I’m Orlet Henry, a proud housewife residing in the picturesque Mission, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My heart beats for the vibrant culture and natural beauty of Guyana, from the serene waters of the Pomeroon River to the lush landscapes that surround us. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish my roots and the flavors of our cuisine. Whether it’s the deliciously seasoned bora or a plate of our famous Chinese food, I believe that Guyanese food is world-class! No meal is complete without a good laugh, especially when we reminisce about the funny moments, like how some people mispronounce our beloved landmarks—Kai-chor Falls, anyone?
Though I may not be on the front lines of the oil boom, I’m excited to see how our country evolves and prospers.
