Greetings from the beautiful shores of Regina Essequibo Coast! My name is Orson Matthews, a proud fisherman hailing from the vibrant community of Coffee in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich fishing traditions and the bountiful waters that sustain us. From the aroma of freshly caught fish frying in the kitchen to the joyous gatherings during our cultural festivities, my life is a celebration of Guyanese heritage.
As a fisherman, I spend my days on the Essequibo River, where the rhythm of the water and the call of the wildlife remind me of the beauty and tranquility of our land. Whether it's sharing stories with fellow fishermen or enjoying a hearty plate of fried banga mary with cassava, I cherish the connections we maintain with our culture and community.
