Greetings! I’m Oumwattie Ramraj, a proud daughter of Guyana residing in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, specifically at Coast 98/110 Back Street Three. As the Director of my local community initiatives, I strive to uplift our vibrant culture and foster connections both within Guyana and among the diaspora. Growing up, I’ve been deeply influenced by the rich traditions of our people, from the mouthwatering flavors of cassava and pepperpot to the lush beauty of the Pomeroon River, where families gather and celebrate life together.
Living in Lower Pom, I've seen firsthand how our community thrives on unity. It’s incredible how even the smallest events—like gathering at River Calabash Island or enjoying a day at Manawarin Cashew Hill—bring us together. My work is driven by the belief that we can share our unique stories and heritage, showcasing the warmth and resilience of Guyanese culture with the world.
