About OVINDRA PRASAAD

About Ovindra Prasaad

Greetings from the lush landscapes of Guyana! My name is Ovindra Prasaad, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Living at 35 Church Street in Pomeroon-Supenaam, I am deeply connected to the vibrant culture and rich traditions of my beautiful country. Guyana is known for its diversity, a true form of black and brown friendship, as we celebrate our unique heritages through food, music, and community gatherings. I cherish the moments spent enjoying an array of local dishes, from pepperpot to cook-up rice, often shared with family and friends during festive occasions.

As a resident of this stunning region, I find beauty in our natural surroundings, from the winding rivers to the charming villages. Every year, I look forward to reconnecting with our diaspora community, both locally and abroad. The warmth of our people is palpable, whether it’s a spontaneous gathering or a planned reunion with fellow Guyanese. I believe that even as we spread across the globe, our roots and relationships remain strong, reminding us that home is not just a place, but a feeling shared with those we love.

Join me in celebrating the essence of Guyana, where every dish tells a story and every smile reflects the resilience of our people. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, together, we continue to build a future that honors our past while embracing progress. Yaaaaassssss!!! πŸ‡¬πŸ‡Ύ
