Greetings! My name is Padmini Persaud, and I proudly call Essequibo 640 North Scheme, Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. I am deeply rooted in the vibrant culture of Guyana, where the rich heritage is reflected in our daily lives and traditions. Living in Essequibo means I’m just a stone's throw away from stunning natural landmarks like the majestic Rupununi River and the lush rainforests that cradle our pristine wildlife. These experiences are often a source of pride for us Guyanese. I’ve encountered many who have traveled from far and wide, especially from places like Canada, who share the same love for our homeland. It’s always heartwarming to see our diaspora connecting back with their roots, celebrating moments that remind them of home.
