Hello! I’m Padminie Singh, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, living on 50 First Street Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich cultural heritage that defines our beloved Guyana. Whether it's the bustling streets filled with the aroma of spicy pepperpot or the tranquil views of the Essequibo River, I cherish every moment spent in this land of promise.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I remain deeply connected to my roots, often reminiscing about the lively festivals, like Mashramani, that bring our community together. I enjoy sharing our local delicacies, such as cook-up rice and roti, with friends and family, no matter where we are in the world. I believe that food has a unique way of connecting us, and I often find myself longing for the flavors of home, especially when I hear others express their love for Guyanese cuisine.
