Hello! I'm Pamela Persaud, a proud resident of the Essequibo region, specifically from Block 8 New in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My heart beats for the vibrant culture of Guyana, where the lush landscapes and the mighty rivers define our way of life. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of our Amerindian heritage, I cherish the stories, music, and delicious foods that unite us—whether it's a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or a simple meal of cook-up rice shared with family and friends.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of celebrating our identity. We are unique; we are not Latino, but Guyanese, with a diverse heritage that includes influences from African, Indian, European, and Indigenous cultures. From the bustling markets of Georgetown to the tranquil banks of the Pomeroon River, our community is a reflection of resilience and warmth, where every conversation is an opportunity to reconnect and share our experiences, whether at the lower Pomeroon or the vibrant locales of Akawini.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
