Hello! My name is Parasram Basdeo, and I am a proud farmer rooted in the vibrant community of Garden Essequibo Coast 5 Public Road Spring, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and rich soil of this agricultural paradise, I have developed a deep appreciation for sustainable farming practices that honor our land and heritage. Our local produce, from cassava to fresh fruits, reflects the diversity of Guyanese cuisine, where dishes like metemgee and pepperpot bring families together, celebrating our culture and traditions.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of maintaining a connection with our roots, especially as many of us spread across the globe.
