Welcome! My name is Parsharda Deochand, and I reside in the vibrant community of Bank Demerara, nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up in this lush area, I've been fortunate to experience the rich cultural heritage that Guyana has to offer. Whether it’s the sweet aroma of pepperpot simmering on a festive morning or the colorful celebrations during Mashramani, my heart is deeply intertwined with the traditions that make our homeland unique.
As a proud Guyanese, I often find myself reminiscing about my childhood adventures at Mora Landing and the scenic beauty of the Lower Pomeroon River. These places hold a special meaning for me and many in the diaspora, who share fond memories of home. It's not uncommon to hear diaspora comments like "My mout a wata," reflecting our longing for the delicious home-cooked meals and the warmth of our community. I strive to keep these connections alive, sharing our culture and culinary delights with friends and family near and far.
