Hello! I’m Patrick McCall, a proud resident of the vibrant Coast 2 Public Road in Mocha, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been deeply influenced by our rich culture, from the bustling markets filled with fresh spices to the mouthwatering aroma of curry and rice wafting through the air. My heart is always in the beautiful landscapes of our homeland, where the Essequibo River flows, and the lush greenery reminds me of the resilience and warmth of our people.
As someone who has witnessed the spirit of community and support, I have great admiration for individuals like the local Christian who dedicates their life to caring for orphans. This gives me hope and encourages me to contribute to our community, just as many of us do—whether through sharing a meal of cook-up rice or participating in local festivals that celebrate our diversity. I believe in the importance of maintaining connections with the Guyanese diaspora, as we carry our traditions and stories wherever we go.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring our local gems, whether it be a stroll along the vibrant streets of Georgetown or a visit to the serene Parika Island. Engaging with fellow Guyanese, whether here at home or abroad, fills me with pride. Together, we celebrate our heritage, recognize our struggles, and uplift each other, embodying the spirit of being “Guyanese to all bones in every part of my body.”
