Greetings! My name is Penelope Barat, and I proudly call Upper Pomeroon's River Red Village my home. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam has deeply influenced my appreciation for the rich cultural heritage that Guyana embodies. From the vibrant festivals celebrating our diverse communities to the tantalizing flavors of traditional dishes like Pepper Pot and Metemgee, I cherish every moment spent sharing these experiences with family and friends.
Being a part of this beautiful country allows me to connect with the various cultures that call Guyana home, including our Indian, African, and Indigenous roots. I find immense joy in sharing my love for Guyana with others, whether through local gatherings or engaging with friends in the diaspora.
