Hello! I’m Persaud Ramdas, a proud Guyanese from the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a labourer, I find joy in the daily hustle and bustle of life here, surrounded by the lush greenery and rich waterways that define our beautiful land. From the winding rivers like the Pomeroon to the thriving community, every day offers a new opportunity to connect with my roots and contribute to the growth of my beloved Guyana.
Growing up, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for our local cuisine, particularly dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which bring family and friends together. Our culture is rich with flavors and traditions, and I cherish the moments spent enjoying meals with loved ones, celebrating our heritage. Whether it’s a vibrant festival or a simple gathering, the spirit of unity is always present among us, reminding me of the warmth of our people.
Though I currently reside in Guyana, I maintain strong ties with the diaspora, connecting with family and friends across the globe to share stories and experiences. I understand the challenges and beauty of our homeland, and I genuinely believe in the resilience of our community—whether we are navigating the waters of the Pomeroon or gathering on the shores of our beautiful beaches. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
