Hello! My name is Petula Williams, and I proudly call Lower Pom River Lonely Island Grant in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant cultures and rich traditions of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our unique way of life. From the lush greenery of the interior savannas to the bustling community spirit of our local markets, I am deeply connected to the land and the people.
As a resident of Guyana, my heart is filled with joy from our delicious culinary heritage. You might catch me enjoying a plate of dhal puri on its own (yes, it’s that good! 😅), or recommending the best spots for duck curry, like the beloved Jackdashe restaurant. I cherish the simple pleasures of sharing a meal with family and friends, celebrating our diverse backgrounds, and embracing the warmth of our community, whether it's at a New Year gathering or a festive CARICOM event.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
