Greetings! My name is Pooran Singh, and I proudly call Essequibo my home, specifically the vibrant 335 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a descendant of the rich Indian heritage that shapes much of Guyana's identity, I embrace the flavors and traditions that come with it. From the aroma of homemade dhal puri wafting through my kitchen to the lively banter during festive gatherings, my life is a celebration of our culture, deeply rooted in community and family ties.
Living in Essequibo, I find joy in discovering the beauty of our landscapes, from the winding rivers to the captivating beauty of Lower Pomeroon River Windward Point. I enjoy sharing stories of my homeland with friends and family, both here and abroad. It’s heartwarming to see the Guyanese diaspora, like David in NYC, connecting over shared food experiences and cultural exchanges. We're all part of a larger family, eager to learn and embrace each other’s culinary delights, be it a roti from Trinidad or our very own fuuuiii ttrrrruuuu of Guyanese cuisine.
