Hello! I'm Poornesh Dass, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, residing at the 94 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and natural beauty. From the lush mangroves lining the coast to the bustling markets filled with the aroma of our famous pepperpot and cook-up rice, life here is an experience like no other. I cherish my connection to our land, where the rivers run clear and the sunsets are nothing short of breathtaking.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I often reflect on my roots and the journeys many of us have taken, from visiting our ancestral homes to exploring the vast landscapes of India. I am reminded of the stories told by family members who migrated to the USA, sharing their experiences and the unique blend of cultures we carry with us. Each visit back is a reminder of the warmth and resilience of our people, as well as the vibrant street life that pulses through our communities.
