Greetings! My name is Praim Persaud, a proud fisherman hailing from the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the scenic Coast 01 Public Road, this area is known for its rich biodiversity and bountiful waters where I spend my days casting nets and navigating the rhythms of the river. Fishing isn’t just a profession for me; it’s a way of life that connects me to my roots and the essence of our local culture. From the banks of the Pom River to the markets of Georgetown, the journey of our catch tells the story of our community.
Living in Guyana, I cherish the flavors of our culinary heritage, with dishes like pepperpot and metemgee bringing family and friends together around the table. The lively spirit of celebrations, whether it be Mashramani or Diwali, reminds me of the strength and resilience of our diverse culture.
