Greetings! I’m Promanand Persaud, a proud mason hailing from the picturesque shores of the Essequibo Coast, specifically the Dry Shore area in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I have always felt a deep connection to my roots. I cherish the time spent with family and friends, sharing stories of our ancestors and the richness of our heritage, which often finds its way into my masonry projects. Just as we take pride in our unique way of driving on the left side of the road, we also celebrate the distinct ways we pronounce names and terms that reflect our identity.
Though I am rooted in Guyana, I am aware of the diaspora that extends far and wide. Many of us, whether at home or abroad, hold dear the memories of our homeland, from the serene River Yarishirima to the lively gatherings where laughter and music fill the air. It is this connection that drives my passion for building not just structures, but a sense of belonging for all who share our rich Guyanese heritage.
