Hello! I’m Punraj Singh, a proud Guyanese land officer based on the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically at 76 Richmond Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the Essequibo River flows with stories of our ancestors and the lush landscapes offer a glimpse into the rich biodiversity that Guyana is known for. Whether it’s the sweet taste of pepperpot during Christmas or the warm camaraderie of a Sunday cook-up with family and friends, the essence of being Guyanese is woven into every moment of my life.
My work involves connecting people with their land, helping to secure their dreams of homeownership and fostering a sense of community. I am passionate not just about my job but also about representing our Guyanese values and culture. Despite the challenges we face, including ongoing discussions about territorial disputes, I believe in the strength of our spirit and the unity of our people. I often reflect on the sentiments shared by my fellow Guyanese, whether in the diaspora or at home; we hold our homeland close to our hearts, whether it's the sweet call of the mangroves or the bustling markets of Georgetown.
