Greetings! I’m Quacy Garnett, an agronomy hand based in the vibrant neighborhood of Demerara, specifically located at 142 First Street West. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of Guyana, I’ve always been deeply connected to our rich agricultural traditions. Whether it’s the fertile banks of the Pomeroon River or the sweet taste of freshly harvested cassava, my passion for agronomy reflects the very essence of our culture.

In my work, I strive to enhance the cultivation techniques that have sustained our communities for generations. I often think of the stories shared around the fires in Kokers and the laughter echoing through the markets of St. Monica. As a proud Guyanese, I believe that our heritage runs rich in the soil we till. While we see promising developments in the mineral wealth of our nation, I also resonate with the sentiment that true prosperity is found in our everyday lives, our connections, and the food that nourishes us, from aromatic curry to wholesome roti.
