Hello! My name is Rachel Deonarine, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the vibrant community of Danielstown, I find joy in the rich cultural heritage that defines our way of life. From the flavorful dishes like Pepper Pot, a culinary staple that speaks to our colonial history, to the serene views along the Pomeroon River, my surroundings are a constant reminder of the beauty and resilience of our people.
As a resident of this diverse region, I am always eager to share the unique experiences that come with living in Guyana. Whether it's teaching someone how to pronounce "Essequibo" or guiding them through the lush landscapes of Upper Pom River, I cherish the moments spent connecting with both locals and visitors alike. Building relationships with our diaspora community, who carry a piece of Guyana wherever they go, is essential in preserving our cultural essence.
