Hello! My name is Radha Singh, and I proudly call Demerara 1 de Buff Canal No. 2 my home. Nestled in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. As a resident of Guyana, I am passionate about sharing our culture with the diaspora and friends from around the world. Many of us living abroad, like those in Canada, often reminisce about our roots with fondness. I often hear comments about how our beautiful land, despite being the only non-island country in the Caribbean, holds a special place in the hearts of many. The stories of Ramnaresh Sarwam resonate with me, reminding us of the connections we maintain across borders and the importance of nurturing our heritage.
Through my work, I aim to raise awareness about the environmental challenges we face, especially regarding our waterways.
