Greetings! My name is Rajpatee Mahadai, a proud resident of the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana, specifically from the lively community at Coast 111 Frampton Street. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of our beautiful country, I have always felt a strong connection to the natural world, from the distinctive sounds of the jungle that remind us of our roots to the flowing waters of the Pomeroon River, a significant part of our heritage. Living in Georgetown for a time, I understand the mixed sentiments about our capital. Many may find it dire, yet I believe that there are hidden gems waiting to be discovered, often shared among locals who know the best spots away from the usual tourist trails. I often tell friends that to truly appreciate Guyana, one must experience it through the eyes of its people. It’s our stories, our struggles, and our triumphs that shape the fabric of our community. I remain hopeful that we can foster positive change and uplift our nation together, as we are the ones who know our country best.
