I’m passionate about keeping our customs alive, whether it’s through sharing recipes passed down through generations or teaching my kids the significance of local festivals like Mashramani and Diwali, which bring our community together in joyous celebration.
Though I may be far from the bustling streets of Georgetown, I maintain a strong connection with the Guyanese diaspora. It's heartwarming to see so many of us thriving abroad while still cherishing our unique identity. Wherever we are, we share a bond that transcends borders—whether it's through the spirited conversations about our homeland or the laughter shared over a bowl of black cake during the holidays.
