About RAM PERSAUD

About Ram Persaud

Hello! I’m Ram Persaud, a proud Guyanese seaman hailing from the beautiful Coast Demerara in Stewartville, situated in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our unique heritage. From savoring delicious dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice to enjoying the rhythms of soca and chutney music, my roots are firmly planted here.

As a seaman, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to various corners of the world, yet my heart remains tethered to Guyana. Whether it's the serene beauty of the River Belivia or the warmth of our communities, I carry a piece of home with me wherever I go. I’ve also seen how the emerging oil and gas sector is transforming our economy, and I believe in the potential of my homeland to become a thriving hub in South America.

Through my travels, I aim to share the authentic Guyanese experience with others and connect with our vibrant diaspora. I invite you to join me in celebrating our culture, from the bustling markets of Georgetown to the quiet beauty of our rivers and forests. Let’s explore the rich history and promising future of Guyana together!
