Hello! I’m Ramdai Narine, a passionate teacher based in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in the vibrant culture of Guyana, where the rhythm of life is often accompanied by the sound of the rivers and the rich flavors of pepperpot and cook-up rice. I take pride in sharing our unique heritage with my students, inspiring them to embrace both our local traditions and the global community.
Living in Phase 2 South, I find beauty in the natural landscapes around me, from the lush greenery of our hinterlands to the winding paths of the Pomeroon River. It’s not just the landmarks that define us, but the stories we tell and the friendships we forge. Whether it’s a festive gathering during Mashramani or simply enjoying a hot cup of black cake during the holidays, I believe that our culture thrives on connection and shared experiences.
As I engage with the diaspora community, I understand the complexities and frustrations that come with being a Guyanese abroad, as many of us have faced challenges that can be disheartening. However, I remain committed to cultivating a love for our homeland and encouraging my students to appreciate the beauty and resilience of our people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
