Hello! My name is Ramdat Neisha, and I proudly call East Bank Essequibo my home. Growing up in this vibrant region, I was surrounded by the rich flavors of our local cuisine, from pepperpot to metemgee, which are staples that always bring back fond memories. Whether it's enjoying a Sunday cook-up with family or sharing stories with friends at Parika Market, the warmth and spirit of Guyana are always close to my heart.
As a labourer, I value the strength of our community and the hard work that goes into every task. I often reflect on the journey from growing up in the lush landscapes of Pomeroon-Supenaam to the bustling diaspora experiences in places like New York, where I cherish the little Guyana and its delicious offerings. The connection we have as Guyanese, regardless of where we are in the world, is something special that we share, whether it’s through our food or the vibrant stories of our homeland.
In my downtime, I enjoy visiting local schools in Georgetown and staying connected with fellow Guyanese.
