Greetings! My name is Ramdehol Bissessar, and I am a proud carpenter residing in the heart of the Essequibo Coast, specifically in Hampton Court Anna, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana has profoundly shaped my craftsmanship. I take great pride in building homes that reflect our unique Guyanese identity, as I believe that our architecture should honor our heritage rather than mimic styles from elsewhere.
My work is deeply inspired by the colonial-style houses that have long adorned our beautiful country, as well as the spirit of community that defines us. Like many Guyanese, I cherish moments spent with family, sharing delicious local dishes like pepperpot and cook-up rice, which evoke fond memories of gatherings and celebrations. As I carve and construct, I often think about how homes are more than just structures; they are the foundation where love grows and where lasting memories are created.
