My roots run deep in this beautiful land, which is rich in diverse cultures and traditions. Growing up in Guyana, I have been fortunate to experience the vibrant communities that celebrate our Indigenous heritage, as well as the warm camaraderie found among our people. As a miner, I am not just digging for minerals but also for the connection to our ancestors who walked these lands before us. There’s something about the rhythm of work here that resonates with our cultural spirit. I often think of the diaspora, who carry a piece of Guyana in their hearts; I hope to someday share a meal with them back home.
