Welcome! My name is Ramesh Dukhu, and I am proud to call Lodge Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, this vibrant community is filled with rich traditions and flavors that define our way of life. From the mouthwatering dishes of pepperpot and metemgee to the lively sounds of chutney music, my roots are deeply embedded in the cultural tapestry of Guyana. Whether I'm at the local market or enjoying a day at the Essequibo River, I cherish every moment spent in this beautiful land.
As a resident of Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our unique multicultural heritage. We are a melting pot of Indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences, and I take pride in sharing these stories with those in the diaspora. Even though many of us have ventured abroad, the connection to our homeland remains strong. It brings me joy when fellow Guyanese visit and express their excitement to patronize local markets and reconnect with their roots.
Living in Guyana means embracing our history while looking forward to the future. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
