Having grown up surrounded by the rich waters that the Amerindians aptly named “the land of many waters,” I’ve come to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of our rivers and rainforests. From the vibrant colors of our flag to the spirited games of cricket that unite us, my heart beats for the culture that is uniquely Guyanese.
In my community, we celebrate our heritage through delicious food, vibrant festivals, and the warmth of our people.
