Hello! I’m Ramgopaul Gobin, a proud miner hailing from the vibrant community of Public Road Golden in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich culture of Guyana, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our unique heritage. From the sounds of the flowing Pomeroon River to the warmth of the sun on my back while working, every aspect of my life here is intertwined with nature’s bounty and the spirit of our people.
As someone who cherishes our local cuisine, I can’t resist a good plate of pepperpot or the sweet delights of our cassava pone. The flavors of Guyana reflect our diverse cultural tapestry, bringing together influences from Indigenous, African, Indian, and European traditions. I often reminisce about family gatherings filled with laughter and delicious food, and I hope to share that warmth with friends and family, even those who have ventured abroad.
