Hello! My name is Rampersaud Ramsarup, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up along the lush, winding waterways of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep connection to the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. In my daily life, I embrace the warmth of our people, whether I’m sharing stories with neighbors or celebrating festivals like Mashramani and Diwali, where the colors and lights symbolize our unity. The Guyanese diaspora is an important part of my identity, too. I often find myself reminiscing with friends who’ve ventured far and wide, from Canada to the UK, sharing tales that make our homeland feel closer, no matter the distance. We laugh and connect over the unique experiences that come from being a part of this extraordinary blend of cultures.
As a resident here, I am committed to fostering community spirit and supporting local initiatives that celebrate our heritage.
