Hello, I'm Ramroop Ramotar, a proud farmer residing on the Essequibo Coast, specifically in the vibrant community of 26 Lima New Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of Guyana has profoundly shaped my passion for agriculture. My roots run deep in this fertile land, where I cultivate a variety of crops that not only sustain my family but also contribute to the local economy.
Guyana is a nation bursting with culture and natural beauty, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the enchanting Essequibo River islands. I cherish the simple pleasures of life here, whether it's sharing a hearty meal of roti and curry or indulging in Chinese fried rice with friends and family. Our diverse culinary heritage is a celebration of our multi-ethnic society, and I take pride in being part of this rich mosaic. As a farmer, I aim not just to grow food, but to foster connections within our community and share the warmth of our traditions with those near and far.
Having recently engaged with the vibrant Guyanese diaspora, I've seen how our culture resonates across borders. It's a joy to connect with others who share the same love for our homeland, whether through conversations about improving Georgetown for tourism or simply reminiscing about the beauty of our landscapes.
