Greetings! My name is Randy Greene, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Mocha, located along the scenic Coast 31 Public Road in Pomeroon-Supenaam, my home. Guyana, with its rich history and cultural diversity, has shaped my identity and values. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and the mighty Pomeroon River, I have developed a deep appreciation for our local heritage, from the sounds of chutney music that fill our celebrations to the tantalizing aroma of pepperpot and cook-up rice that brings friends and family together.
As a resident deeply connected to my roots, I understand the unique challenges and opportunities we face as a nation, particularly regarding migration and the brain drain that has affected our youth. Yet, despite these challenges, our spirit remains unbroken, and our culture thrives both here and within the Guyanese diaspora. Whether it's connecting with fellow Guyanese abroad or celebrating our shared stories over a plate of roti and curry, I cherish the bonds formed through our collective experiences and the pride we take in our homeland.
