About RANEITA AMINA MOORE

About Raneita Moore

Greetings! My name is Raneita Moore, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo 6¾ Farm in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region home. Nestled within the lush landscapes of Guyana, my community reflects the rich cultural diversity of our nation. Whether it's enjoying the vibrant flavors of local delicacies like cook-up rice or guinep, or sharing stories with neighbors about the history of Pom River Borada Settlement, I find joy in the simple, yet profound connections we foster here.

Living in Guyana, we carry the spirit of the Caribbean, even if we still drive on the left side of the road! Our culture, steeped in traditions and customs, is a beautiful blend of indigenous, African, Indian, and European influences. From dancing to our favorite tunes, including the catchy rhythms reminiscent of Electric Avenue, to participating in local festivals that highlight our unique heritage, I cherish every moment that binds us as a community. And for those of us who have ventured abroad, the camaraderie among the diaspora reminds us of home, whether we find ourselves in Georgetown or as far as the Caribbean.

As a resident deeply rooted in my culture, I celebrate the richness of our nation and the resilience of our people. I believe that even when challenges arise, Guyana's true wealth lies in its cultural vibrancy and the warmth of its people. Join me in exploring our beautiful land and its tales, as we continue to honor our past while embracing a promising future.
